As demand for digital infrastructure surges, Arizona has become a hotspot for data center development—bringing with it economic opportunities, infrastructure challenges, and community considerations. 

AAED is hosting a candid and balanced conversation exploring the benefits and tradeoffs of data center development and brings together a diverse panel of voices—including economic developers, builders, planners, and utilities to discuss:

  • Why Arizona is an attractive location for data centers
  • The economic development upsides and downsides
  • Infrastructure: Water, power, and land use concerns
  • Community impacts and land planning strategies
  • Public-private partnerships and future policy considerations
